England showed a tremendous performance in the second test. India has won the toss and elected to field. They bowled well in the first innings and restricted the England to 221 runs where Sreesanth, Praveen kumar and Ishant Sharma took 3 wickets each and Harbhajan took 1 wicket. At one stage they were 124/8 and in the end Broad and Swann helped England to score 221. Later in the Indian innings, Rahul Dravid partnership with Laxman and Yuvraj was really good. India has won in their first ODI against the hosts West Indies. Sammy Won the toss and elected to bat first. West Indies lost their 2 wickets in the early overs and later Sarwan and Samuel played really well with their half centuries 56 and 55. At the end of the innings they made 214 runs in 50 overs. Harbhajan took 3 wickets and Raina, Munaf Patel and Praveen Kumar took 2 wickets each. India started really well but lost Parthiv patel to runout at 13 and Kohli made 2 runs, Badrinath made 17 runs. Later Dhawan and Rohit Sharma made a good partnership and lead India towards Victory. Dhawan made 51 runs and Rohit made 68* runs and Suresh Raina made 43 runs, Yusuf Pathan made 10 runs and Harbhajan made 6 runs and India made 217 in 44.5 overs at the end of the innings. In West Indies bowling Rampaul and Martin took 2 wickets each and Bishoo taken 1 wicket. Rohit Sharma’s partnership with Dhawan and Raina brings victory for India. Hence Rohit was awarded the Man of the Match.
