England Lead the Test Series 2-0


England showed a tremendous performance in the second test. India has won the toss and elected to field. They bowled well in the first innings and restricted the England to 221 runs where Sreesanth, Praveen kumar and Ishant Sharma took 3 wickets each and Harbhajan took 1 wicket. At one stage they were 124/8 and in the end Broad and Swann helped England to score 221. Later in the Indian innings, Rahul Dravid partnership with Laxman and Yuvraj was really good. Laxman made 54, Yuvraj made 62 and Rahul Dravid with another remarkable 117 runs helped India to score 288 runs. Broad took 6 wickets including a hat-trick was a remarkable one. In the England second innings, Bell played really well with 159 and Petersen with 63 runs, Morgan 70, Prior 73, Bresnan 90 and Broad’s 44 helped them to reach a huge total of 544 runs in 120 over’s. Praveen Kumar took 4 wickets, Ishant Sharma and Sreesanth took 2 wickets each and Yuvraj took 1 wicket. In the 120 over’s Harbhajan bowled only 8 overs and Yuvraj bowled 11 overs. With a target of 478 runs, India started playing and lost the wickets early in the innings and only Sachin’s 56 and Harbhajan 46 and Praveen Kumar 25 were highest scores are remaining all fell down to single digit runs and allout to 158 runs. Bresnan took 5 wickets for 48 runs, and Anderson took 3 wickets and Broad took 2 wickets. England won the 2nd test with a remarkable 319 runs and one day remaining. Stuart Broad was awarded Man of the Match for his tremendous performance. England lead the test series 2-0 in the 4 test series. With the England 2 tests victory they will pull up the test ranks and India is at the danger to maintain No.1 test rank position.
