After the historic win against South Africa in the 2nd test, India remains in the 1st position in the ICC Test Rankings. India (124) is 4 points a head to South Africa (120). But can India remain in the 1st position is the question as the Indian Team is not going to play any of the test matches in the year 2010. South Africa is going to play West Indies and in June and Australia is going to play 2 tests against New Zealand in March, 2 tests against Pakistan in July and 5 tests against England in November. Australia is currently with 116 points and 8 points behind India. Australia is having the ability and opportunity to score the No.1 spot in Test Rankings. If India is not going to play any test match in this year then they can’t remain the No.1 spot in the test rankings. The BCCI has to decide and make a right move and make India to play more test cricket which gives lot of confidence to the players. If they play more then they can be the best in the test rankings. Hope India will do their best in future.
