Basic Principles of IEM

There are 3 basic principles that guide the Indian Ethos in Management. They are

  • Unleashing Infinite Potential

  • Holistic Approach

  • Subjectivity

Unleashing Infinite Potential is the supreme power that resides in each and every individual. Each of us has immense potential. We were born with a super computer which is our brain and the 5 sense organs. If we use these with the full capacity then we can be the best performer in the world in doing the activities to the best potentials.

Holistic Approach says about the health of the company. Health of a company does not depend upon the economy or productivity but on how best we can satisfy the customers. The customer satisfaction is very much important for any organization. This should be learned by every individual. The company should seek to satisfy the customers and helping the society to achieve its goal by taking this as a personal interest. The more the concentrates on any of the problems of the society the better it is able to solve the problem.

Subjectivity is the vision of every individual. Intangible factors are equally important than gross, concrete, objective tangible factors. The vision is very much important and the manager should have to develop the foresight, insight and vision.

Management is NOT getting things done by others but helping ordinary people to produce extraordinary results. Productivity of men's capacity is more important than plant capacity.
